Introduction to the Human Resources Board
The Human Resources Board has a central role to shaping the future direction and development of the Urdd.
To ensure that the Urdd achieves its strategy, it is essential that we have a positive culture that empowers, empowers, and develops the workforce. We want to ensure that we attract, develop and retain a talented and diverse high performing workforce, with a dedicated workforce structure to support our provision for children and young people.
Nia Bennett
Chair, Human Resources Board
Nia is a chartered member of the CIPD and has an accreditation in Business Strategy and Leadership and is a Director and Chief Consultant at effectusHR Human Resources and Organisational Development Company. Nia has been a member of the Urdd’s Human Resources Panel since 2011 before becoming Chair in November 2018. In March 2020, Nia was co-opted by the Trustees as a member of the Urdd’s Executive Committee and was elected as a Trustee in March 2021.
Members of this Board, jointly with the Head of Department, set the strategic direction of the Human Resources Department, to develop a quality workforce to deliver the best experiences and opportunities for children and young people in Wales.
