Where are you from?
I am from Narberth in Pembrokeshire.
Which school did you attend?
I went to Narberth Primary School and then went up to Ysgol Y Preseli in Crymych.
Why did you decide to take a Sports apprenticeship with the Urdd?
I decided to do the sports apprenticeship with the Urdd because I liked sport and keep active.
What do you enjoy most about your job and how does the apprenticeship effect your job?
The thing I enjoy most about my job is working with children who have additional needs and watching them achieve things they don't think they're capable of. I think essential skills have impacted my job because I am much more confident speaking in front of the class.
What does taking on a bilingual apprenticeship mean to you?
It has given me a platform to practice writing in Welsh by as I haven’t had much of a chance to since leaving school.
How has doing the apprenticeship developed your Welsh skills?
I am fluent in Welsh but this has given me the platform to practice.
What are your interests outside the workplace?
My interests outside of work are walking, reading and spending time with my family.
In which way does completing an apprenticeship effect your personal development?
I feel much more confident being speaking in front of a class and leading exercise classes.
What do you hope to do after completing your apprenticeship?
I hope I will be able to continue to run exercise sessions available to all abilities.
Describe your responsibilities.
My duties are to help the children with the work. Also to encourage children to communicate with each other and with the staff. Helping the children to prepare for activities like exercise.
