A chat with Tiffany Colton Edwards

Apprentice of the month, March 2023

Tiffany comes from Caernarfon and attended Ysgol Syr Hugh Owen.  Tiffany is currently on an Apprenticeship with the Urdd, she is working towards her Level 3 in Childcare and is on a placement at a local nursery.  Here’s a little look at how it’s going.

Why did you decide to take on apprenticeship with the Urdd?

To work towards my level 3 in Childcare, it’s a good way to get a qualification whilst gaining experience.

What do you enjoy most and how has the apprenticeship effected your job?

 I enjoy working in Childcare both as a 1:1 and also as part of a wider team

What are your interests outside work?

Listening to music and going for walks

In what way has your apprenticeship affected your personal development?

 It’s helped my confidence improve

What do you hope to do after completing your apprenticeship?

I hope to get a job working in a school

Briefly describe your daily duties.

One of my main duties is ensuring that everyone is safe within the nursery as well as general daily duties.
