We're now seeking nominations for the 2025 John and Ceridwen Hughes Uwchaled Award – awarded annually to an individual who has made a notable contribution to the lives of young people in Wales.

They could be involved in any aspect of youth work, as long as it is face to face with young people over 11 years old, in a voluntary capacity and outside school hours.

The work should also be through the medium of Welsh, or with youth who are learning the language. It can also be with any youth organisation.

The John and Ceridwen Hughes Award is given by Dewi and Gerallt Hughes in memory of their parents, John and Ceridwen, who were very involved in youth work within their own community.

The closing date for nominations is at 12pm on Wednesday the 15th of January.
