Free entry for lower income families to Eisteddfod yr Urdd 2025

This year, the Eisteddfod is being held in Margam Park, Neath Port Talbot between 26 and 31 May. Following financial support from the Welsh Government, the Urdd is proud to be able to offer free entry to lower income families to the Eisteddfod Maes.

Tickets for Eisteddfod yr Urdd 2025 will be available to order soon. We will also share more details on how to receive the lower income tickets.

Who qualifies for these tickets?

You are eligible for free tickets for you and your family to the Eisteddfod if you receive one of the following:

  • Income Support 
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance 
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance 
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 
  • Guaranteed element of Pension Credit 
  • Child Tax Credit 
  • Working Tax Credit run-on
  • Universal Credit
  • Urdd £1 Membership

How do these tickets work?

  • Each day of the week will have a special ticket for that day
  • These tickets will be limited to 6 per day for each lower income family
  • You will need proof of the criteria that you meet
  • Following verification of the applications, we will send these tickets out via email closer in time to the Eisteddfod
  • A ticket for Thursday, Friday and Saturday will also give you free entry to the Triban Festival

How do I order these tickets?

1. Go to our ticket system on 19 March and chose the day(s) you need

2. When completing your order, you'll need to tick the criteria that qualifies you for these tickets

3. You'll receive and email confirming your request

4. Your ticket(s) will be sent to you following the verification period

5. You'll need to bring proof of how you qualify with you to the Eisteddfod
