The Urdd Eisteddfod, but not as you know it.

Eisteddfod T is a virtual festival held for the first time in 2020 during the lockdown period, giving children and young people from Wales and beyond a chance to take part in a virtual, fun-filled Eisteddfod from the comfort of their homes.

All of us at team Eisteddfod T would like to thank everyone who supported this year. From the 12,000 competitors to the teachers and editors and to all the accompanists and brave individuals who were responsible for recording and submitting the work and videos.

Your contribution ensured the success of the largest virtual festival in the history of Urdd Gobaith Cymru.

Our congratulations go out to all the winners during the amazing week of competition. It was such a privilege to share the adjudicators’ comments and the all-important results with the competitors along with everyone at home. We hope you enjoyed watching the content broadcast from our studio at the Urdd’s Residential Centre in Llangrannog on TV, radio, or various social media platforms.

Eisteddfod T Epilogue

Specially for Eisteddfod T, five contemporary artists have set out to create a new version of the Emyn Hwyrol (Nefol Dad mae eto'n nosi), a song that will be known to everyone who has stayed at one of the Urdd Residential Centres, and has sung this before going to bed.

Eisteddfod T Mash Up Projects

As part of this year's Eisteddfod T, groups of young people across Wales have been working together and experimenting with the arts to create new and exciting performances, combining different styles and cultures.
