August 2023 - The Urdd's second trip to Ireland

Following the success of the Urdd’s 2022 trip to Connemara, Ireland, it was decided to revisit TG Lurgan College and give a new group of young people from Wales the special opportunity.

Thirty young people from Wales, along with Urdd staff, traveled to Western Ireland for four nights with the Irish. During the course, a brand-new co-production in Welsh and Irish was recorded, a translation of the song "We Are Young" by Fun. The song will be live on TG Lurgan's YouTube and released on our social media on the 23rd of October.

During the course, the young Welsh participants also took part in various TG Lurgan activities, from music sessions to sports games.

On the final night of the course, a gig was held where the young people from Wales and Ireland had the opportunity to perform and also enjoy professional Irish bands like Seo Linn.
