Join us for an unforgettable adventure in West Wales on our Call of the Wild camp which is designed to reconnect you with nature and empower you to thrive in the outdoors.

Answer nature’s call and learn how to protect our environment for future generations. Develop new skills and work together to survive the wild challenges set by the Pentre Ifan team.

What to expect

  • Embrace the great outdoors! : Guided walks through ancient woodlands and along the majestic hills of the Preselau, a coastal adventure with wildlife spotting, and stargazing under a blanket of stars in the evening.
  • Survive the wild!: Learn wilderness skills such as starting a fire, creating shelter and foraging for food and face tribal challenges.
  • Develop self-sufficiency skills: Growing food, cooking workshops and rural crafts.

What ages is it suitable for?

This course if for children in years 4-6 or children aged 8-12 years old who are learning Welsh.

Monday 28 July until Friday 1 August 2025.

Transport via bus can be arranged at an additional cost - details will follow after booking.

Accommodation

En-suite rooms which sleep 6 and 8.

Facilities

Tea and coffee facilities are available all day, with access to a lounge area to relax. Wi-fi connection available throughout the site.

Food

Breakfast, lunch, tea and super will be on offer with healthy and nutritious choices. We use local produce when possible and can cater for all dietary requirements.

Day 1

12:30 Arrive, Welcome and Lunch

13:30 Orienteering and team building games

16:00- Tea and Break

17:00- Rural Craft (whittling) and Fork to Plate session

18:00- Supper

19:00- Biofluorescent Nature and Creatures of the Night walk

21:00 Bed

 

Day 2

8:00- Breakfast

9:30- Paddleboarding session at Llysyfran lake

12:00 Packed lunch

12:30- Canoeing session at Llys-y-frân lake

16:30 Leave Llys-y-frân

17:00 Visit Llaeth Preseli and a chance to buy gelato

18:00 Return to the centre and showers.

19:00- Tribal Challenges and board games

21:00- Bed

9:30- Hike on the Preseli hills- Survive the Upland!
