Workshop: Media in Sport

Sophie is the Social Media Manager at Swansea City Football Club and is paving the way for the new generation of female sporting leaders. Her journey began from work experience at the age of 16 with Swansea City and through voluntary work for 4/5 years with Swansea City and Swansea City Ladies until successfully receiving a paid role. Sophie also worked for the Ospreys alongside her Masters degree.

Sophie will be discussing her experiences, her career pathway and her current role, as well as social media in sport and the development of new platforms whilst providing examples from her work at Swansea City. She will also be exploring the shift in demand for different content.
