Membership gives access to the Urdd’s activities, events and opportunities.

The Porth is the Urdd’s online membership portal.

Parents, young people aged 16+, schools and community groups can use Y Porth to:

  • Access Urdd services and opportunities

You’ll need a Porth account before purchasing or renewing a membership.

Yes. Membership is required to take part in most Urdd activities, events and competitions.

Joining through the Porth is quick and gives access to opportunities available throughout the year.

As an Urdd member, you’ll become part of Wales’ largest youth organisation and gain access to a wide range of opportunities through the medium of Welsh.

These may include:

  • Sporting activities and competitions
  • Eisteddfod yr Urdd participation
  • Residential experiences and holidays
  • Community clubs and local activities
  • Arts, music and creative opportunities
  • Leadership and volunteering programmes
  • Digital Welsh-language publications

Opportunities vary between regions and age groups.

You can find your membership number by logging into the Porth.

You’ll also receive a confirmation email containing your membership details once your membership has been processed.

Yes. Children of all ages can become Urdd members.

However, most Urdd activities and programmes are aimed at children and young people aged 8 to 25.

Yes. Young people aged 16 and over can create their own Porth account and manage their own membership.

Yes. Memberships can be renewed at any time through the Porth.
