In August 2025, thirteen young members of staff and volunteers from the Urdd travelled to Kenya to work with young girls in communities across Mombasa and the surrounding areas. We have built a strong partnership with Moving the Goalposts (MTG), a charity that supports girls by using sport as a tool to develop their confidence, skills and future. MTG creates spaces where girls can grow both personally and economically, empowering them to build safer and more secure lives.
The visit was an unforgettable experience, with many of the young people who took part sharing the positive impact it had on their confidence and personal development.
