More about Bore Da magazine

Like many charities and organisations, the Urdd’s work had to adapt significantly as a result of the pandemic. It was therefore decided to publish digital versions of the Urdd’s magazines rather than printed editions, and to make them available free of charge.

Unfortunately, it was not possible for the Urdd to continue publishing three magazines from September 2021 onwards, and the difficult decision was made to discontinue Bore Da magazine.

This was a hard decision, and we recognise that it was disappointing for our loyal subscribers. However, we remain committed to publishing high-quality magazines for primary-age readers (Cip) and secondary-age Welsh learners (IAW), ensuring a fair provision across the age range.

We will do our best to ensure that Cip appeals to as wide a range of primary-age readers as possible. The puzzles and cartoons will be suitable for Welsh learners, and we also produce audio and video versions of Cip’s stories.

In addition, a collection of back issues of Bore Da magazine are available here.

How about subscribing to Cip magazine?

Subscribe to Cip, IAW or both and enjoy our free publications via e-mail every other month.
