To complete the Bronze Expedition unit, you will have to:

Register online and pay a deposit to secure a place, with the remaining cost paid before the first training day.

You must participate in the training day and day walk before the expeditions, no matter how much you already know – this is so we can esure that you recieve the right training before taking part in the expedition. We will also share some important information throughout these 2 training days.

 

  • Walk as a group of 4-7 members
  • As part of a group, you must write a meal plan and daily route cards for each expedition
  • As a group, you must come up with an aim to complete over the expeditions
  • You must be self-sufficient for the whole of the expedition and walking will be your mode of transport Camp overnight in a tent

Open Bronze Expeditions – south Wales

We are running open Bronze Expeditions in the summer term of 2026. Our training days and day walks will take place in South Wales, with the expedition taking place in the Gower.

You will need your EDofE participant number to register online. In order to get an EDofE number, you must register with a Licenced Organisation – e.g school, youth group. Please contact the Duke of Edinburgh Award if you are unsure on how to do this.
