Welsh is part of everyday life at our centres. Fluent speakers and learners alike can hear, use and enjoy the language naturally, building confidence in a supportive environment.

Explore our Centres

Across four centres in Wales, the Urdd offers school trips filled with adventure, learning and new experiences. Pupils can enjoy outdoor activities at Llangrannog and Glan-llyn, explore nature and wellbeing at Pentre Ifan, or discover the culture and history of the capital from our Cardiff centre. Day visits and residential stays are available for primary and secondary schools, with each programme shaped around your pupils

Llangrannog

Llangrannog sits on the Ceredigion coast and offers a lively mix of outdoor activities, sport and adventure. Pupils can try everything from climbing and horse riding to swimming, archery and go-karting, with programmes available for different ages and abilities.

Glan-llyn

Glan-llyn is located beside Llyn Tegid near Bala, making it an ideal setting for water sports and outdoor education. Canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, raft building and high ropes give pupils opportunities to develop confidence and teamwork.

Pentre Ifan

Pentre Ifan lies between the Preseli Hills and the Pembrokeshire coast. Its school visits focus on nature, wellbeing, sustainability and Welsh culture, with woodland activities, bushcraft, creative sessions and opportunities to explore the surrounding landscape.

Cardiff

Cardiff gives pupils a chance to experience the history, culture and public life of Wales’s capital. Based in Cardiff Bay, the centre is close to the Senedd, Techniquest and Wales Millennium Centre, with day visits and residential programmes available.
